Supporting the Mission of CIS
There are many ways to support the Mission of CIS, which is to facilitate mutual respect, trust, support and education in the culturally diverse Cowichan Region.
Volunteer - become a committee member, a project or program volunteer or assist with administrative functions. We'd love to meet with you and talk about your personal skills and how they may enhance CIS.
Donate - make your gift online to make an immediate impact in service delivery for individuals, families, youth and seniors in the 11 communities of the Cowichan Valley Region.
Sponsor - during the year we create community events that provide promotional opportunities. In October 2011 we held two large scale community events that had high profile Sponsorship opportunities: One World Festival and Tapestry Gala .
2011 – 2012 CIS Annual Campaign
In order to maintain programming and service delivery to assist individuals, families, youth, and seniors, we need to raise over $100,000 this year to meet our five year goal of $500,000.
How can you help?
Your support directly helps refugee families who have lost their homes, their employment and their extended families and for whom it is not safe to return to their country of origin.
Your support directly helps youth who have been discriminated against in our own schools or community, allowing them a safe, facilitated setting with their peers to talk about their experiences and how they can enable change.
Your support directly helps seniors, young mothers and fathers, and those who have fallen into an isolated existence. CIS reaches out to these members of our community through activities, programs, and services, making a shorter and more joyful path to integration and belonging.
Each contribution made to the Annual Fund will be used to increase accessibility to CIS’s programs & services. We invite you to support the CIS Annual Fund by making a contribution at one of the following giving levels:
